Warzone Season Update Adds 2 Maps and Resets Rank [Patch Notes]

Activision launched a comprehensive Call of Duty Warzone seasonal update today across PC and consoles, introducing two brand-new maps named Hajin and Zodiac, fresh tactical cover mechanics, and an mandatory player level reset designed to level the competitive playing field for the 2026 season. According to verified reports from PCGamesN, the latest patch delivers a complete overhaul to both standard Battle Royale and fast-paced Resurgence playlists. Players diving into the action will encounter Hajin and Zodiac, two distinct battlegrounds engineered to challenge conventional rotation paths with vertical corridors and intricate sightlines. Alongside these environments, the development team has implemented experimental cover systems, tactical deployable gadgets, and a refreshed weapon roster that shifts close-quarters combat dynamics. Crucially, the update institutes a military rank reset reminiscent of earlier competitive seasons, returning all operators to level one progression while safeguarding unlocked weapon blueprints and cosmetic inventories. This reset aligns Warzone with modern live-service structures, mirroring high-demand shifts seen across major industry milestones like the upcoming [GTA 6 File Size & Pre-Load Date: 212GB Install [Confirmed]](/news/gta-6-file-size-preload-date). By cycling the seasonal baseline, developers aim to eliminate stale matchmaking brackets, forcing casual lobbies and high-tier competitive teams alike to re-earn their prestige status under revised combat conditions.
