Star Wars Zero Company: Hawks Voice Actor Details [Confirmed]

Voice actor Jonathan Freeman revealed in an exclusive interview with Polygon that Hawks, the battle-hardened squad commander in Star Wars Zero Company, draws his weathered vocal cadence directly from Freeman's authentic Texas roots to deepen the tactical roleplaying experience. According to verified reports from Polygon, Freeman noted that his natural Southern dialect inadvertently surfaced while settling comfortably into the persona of the titular unit's gritty protagonist. Freeman embraced this natural vocal drawl, arguing that it reinforces the rugged, war-torn resilience required of a mercenary officer operating on the Outer Rim. The upcoming squad-level tactical title tasks players with orchestrating covert skirmishes across hostile Star Wars frontiers, where distinct vocal cues reinforce battlefield leadership and unit morale. Industry observers note that high-profile voice casting often signals narrative-driven polish, drawing parallels to character pacing seen in action titles like [Phantom Blade Zero Early Boss Nerf [Patch Notes 2026]](/news/phantom-blade-zero-early-boss-nerf). The creative choice grounds the speculative sci-fi setting into a relatable, tactile soldier archetype. Freeman's portrayal of Hawks aims to deliver visceral grit without succumbing to traditional military space opera clichés, setting an atmospheric tone for squad command interactions throughout the branching campaign.
