Star Wars: Adam Driver Shelves Kylo Ren Solo Movie [Confirmed]

Adam Driver has officially confirmed that his proposed Star Wars standalone film centered on Kylo Ren, developed alongside acclaimed filmmaker Steven Soderbergh, was canceled by Disney executives who rejected reviving Ben Solo following the character's death in The Rise of Skywalker. According to verified reports from IGN Articles, Driver discussed the scrapped project during an interview on The Rich Eisen Show, revealing that he and Soderbergh invested two full years into scripting and designing The Hunt for Ben Solo. Despite vocal backing from Lucasfilm head Kathleen Kennedy, senior Disney brass refused to greenlight the resurrection of Han Solo's conflicted son. Driver clarified that his tenure in the galaxy far, far away is effectively over, though he admitted he would consider suiting up again if studio leadership ever revived the shelved concept. This high-profile Hollywood cancellation mirrors other dramatic studio recalibrations, much like when [The Dark Knight Joker Casting: DiCaprio Passed [Confirmed]](/news/dark-knight-joker-dicaprio-phoenix-casting) revealed how elite creative pairings frequently shift behind closed doors.
