Stage Fright: Overcooked Creators Reveal New Co-Op [Confirmed]

Stage Fright, an ambitious new cooperative puzzle game developed by Overcooked creator Ghost Town Games, officially enters production targeting next-generation platforms including Nintendo Switch 2, demanding unprecedented team communication to run chaotic live theatrical stage performances under strict real-time deadlines. According to verified reports from Game Rant, the studio behind the legendary kitchen simulator is pivoting away from culinary madness to tackle the high-pressure world of backstage theater operations. In Stage Fright, players must synchronize lighting rigs, costume wardrobe changes, mechanical prop placement, and live musical cues while dealing with escalating environmental hazards and failing equipment. Much like anticipated releases such as the [Palworld Switch 2 Port Still Planned Amid Lawsuit [Confirmed]](/news/palworld-switch-2-port-nintendo-lawsuit-483), this title positions itself as a cornerstone cooperative experience designed to showcase Nintendo's upgraded hardware architecture. Ghost Town Games emphasizes that while Overcooked tested task delegation, Stage Fright introduces interconnected multi-layered dependencies where a single misstep causes immediate catastrophic stage collapses. The development team designed the title to push party game design past casual gatherings into competitive speedrunning circuits, requiring surgical timing, dedicated audio-visual callouts, and flawless team communication across every act.
