Skuld Steam Demo Launches: Norse Tower Defense Live [Confirmed]

The Skuld playable demo officially launched on Steam alongside an action-packed debut trailer from developer Super Monkey Studio, introducing a Norse mythological strategy game where players command a legendary Norn-turned-Valkyrie battling waves of post-Ragnarok monsters across lethal chokepoints. According to verified reports from IGN India, the official demo launch trailer showcases intense real-time wave defense, dynamic tower construction, and active character abilities. Players step into the boots of Skuld, fighting to preserve the remnants of existence following the apocalyptic events of Ragnarok. The gameplay seamlessly merges traditional stationary tower defense mechanics with high-octane third-person hack-and-slash action, forcing defenders to alternate between tactical fortifications and direct frontline brawling. As dark forces sweep across fractured Norse landscapes, players must upgrade armaments, customize relic loadouts, and manage resource economies to outlast punishing boss escalations. Much like the intense mythological battles seen in [Elden Ring Path of the Elden Lord Drops: Live Now [Confirmed]](/news/elden-ring-path-elden-lord-live), Skuld challenges players with unforgiving timing and strategic precision. The playable demo serves as a public stress test ahead of the full commercial release on PC, allowing strategy enthusiasts to master early-game fortification routing and weapon synergies before official leaderboards go live.
