Phantom Blade Zero: Festering Secret Walkthrough [Full Guide]

To complete the Festering Secret quest in Phantom Blade Zero, players must defeat the mini-boss Peng Meng to obtain the heavy Dread Axe, return to the Mandate checkpoint, sever the heavy courtyard chains, and eliminate the Transcension-corrupted warriors guarding the courtyard gate. According to verified reports from GamesRadar, the Festering Secret quest acts as an essential progression milestone within S-GAME’s dark kung-fu punk action adventure. Players encounter the quest line after interacting with Mandate guards positioned before a securely chained perimeter fence. The guards instruct the player to eradicate a cluster of elite soldiers corrupted by dangerous Transcension energy. However, accessing the inner courtyard requires players to venture outward and defeat the rogue warrior Peng Meng, whose defeat awards the Dread Axe needed to sunder the reinforced gate chains. Once inside, clearing the area demands rapid parries and stance-breaking combos before navigating deeper toward the locked secondary gate.
