MW4 DMZ X01 Exfil Guide: How to Extract Safely [Full Guide]

Extracting successfully from the X01 map in MW4 DMZ requires understanding that standard helicopter call-ins from Hajin do not apply once you arrive on the isolated combat zone, demanding precise pre- and post-timer countdown management to secure your loot. According to verified reports from Game Rant, navigating this unique extraction zone is one of the most punishing hurdles for modern operators looking to secure forward operating base (FOB) upgrades. Unlike standard extraction points where players merely trigger an evac chopper, X01 operates as a distinct sub-map with specialized rules governing arrival and departure phases. Operators must monitor the expiration timer closely, as failing to initiate the sequence correctly before time elapses results in complete gear loss and wasted raid time. Squads must establish perimeter defense positions immediately upon landing, utilizing smoke grenades and high-damage loadouts to suppress AI combatants and enemy players alike. Furthermore, coordinating movement around map bottlenecks ensures that your team remains insulated during the final countdown window. Understanding these nuanced map mechanics transforms reckless runs into calculated operations, ensuring your hard-fought progression translates directly into permanent FOB advancement.
