Match Report & Event Overview
Terminally ill GTA 6 fan Jerry, widely known online as Void Only, tragically passed away over the weekend at age and just three weeks before the highly anticipated release of Rockstar Games' upcoming title, according to verified reports from IGN Articles. Back in August, Jerry shared a viral TikTok video revealing his battle with interstitial lung disease and his desperate need for a lung transplant, expressing his sole wish to play GTA 6 while poking fun at developer delays. The gaming community immediately rallied behind him, establishing a GoFundMe campaign that surpassed $50,000 in days to fund his dangerous surgery. Although Jerry successfully underwent the transplant procedure in September, severe medical complications eventually caused him to lose bodily function. Over the weekend, his sister officially confirmed his passing through his social media channels. Supporters worldwide have poured in tributes, honoring his resilience and enduring passion for gaming. This heartbreaking story underscores the deeply human element underlying the gaming industry, reminding enthusiasts everywhere of the powerful bonds forged across digital platforms. Similar to how [CS2 & Gaming Industry: Gamescom Asia 2026 Draws 220K [Confirmed]](/news/gamescom-asia-2026-attendance-record) highlighted massive community gatherings, Jerry's journey united millions in empathy and shared grief.
