Gemini Notebook Voice Recorder Update Launched [Confirmed]

Google has officially introduced a direct in-app voice recorder feature within Gemini Notebook version 1.63 for Android and iOS devices, enabling global creators and esports analysts to capture spoken audio notes seamlessly despite severe early technical shortcomings. According to verified reports from Android Authority, the new audio capture tool is now accessible via the microphone icon situated inside the Sources tab of any active notebook. Unlike Google's standalone Pixel Recorder software, which debuted in 2019 with stellar on-device machine learning transcription, this new Gemini integration is crippled by significant offline restrictions and erratic file deletion glitches. Testers discovered that recording offline renders audio processing ineffective, leaving critical debrief sessions stranded without server sync. This update arrives as competitive organizations and gaming creators optimize daily team strategy hubs alongside tools like the [Roblox Carve Wood The Hollow Quest Guide: Complete Trials [2026]](/news/carve-wood-hollow-quest-guide). While Google expands Gemini's cross-platform utility across international markets outside the United States, users attempting to manage source files report that deleted voice clips linger unexpectedly within project directories. Android Authority noted that until offline transcription parity is achieved, professional gaming analysts and content operators must exercise caution when relying on the application for immediate voice logging during high-stakes tournament sessions.
