G2 Esports Fires Perkz Over Controversial Post [Confirmed]

According to verified reports from Esports.gg, European powerhouse G2 Esports officially terminated their contract with head coach Luka “Perkz” Perković on Thursday, November 5, 2026, following intense community backlash over a highly controversial social media post. CEO Alban Dechelotte released a formal statement acknowledging that Perkz's online commentary deeply hurt the fanbase, prompting immediate disciplinary action. Perkz had transitioned into the head coaching role in July following Dylan Falco’s departure, guiding the roster through a challenging Worlds 2026 campaign. However, the unexpected tournament exit coupled with this severe public relations crisis forced executive leadership to sever all ties instantly. G2 management confirmed that a comprehensive restructuring of both the coaching staff and the active League of Legends player roster is now officially underway. This abrupt development leaves the organization scrambling for veteran leadership during a critical offseason, drastically disrupting long-term strategic planning and tactical stability. As seen in major regional tournament structural shifts, professional esports organizations face relentless public scrutiny that directly impacts operational continuity, franchise valuation, and competitive readiness across all competitive divisions moving forward.
