Evo Brazil 2027 Lineup: Mortal Kombat 1 Returns [Confirmed]

According to verified reports from Esports.gg, Evo Brazil 2027 has officially unveiled its eight-game main tournament lineup taking place in São Paulo from March 26 to March 28, highlighted by the shocking competitive resurrection of Mortal Kombat 1. Alongside expected global titans like Street Fighter 6 and TEKKEN 8, the São Paulo showcase brings unique regional flavor to the FGC circuit. While games such as 2XKO are absent due to the conclusion of official support and Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising sits out, Mortal Kombat 1 returns to the spotlight despite its recent perception as a stagnant title. This announcement marks the second major stop on the expansive 2027 Evo calendar, which features nine global events leading up to the inaugural fighting game World championship. Industry analysts note that regional preference heavily dictates tournament inclusions in South America, creating distinct meta environments for competitors and spectators alike. As the community anticipates bracket breakdowns and character tier lists, competitive grinders are ramping up training regimens. Similar community-driven spikes in competitive interest have previously mirrored major title milestones, such as the [Gears of War: E-Day Sells 400K Amid Game Pass Launch [Report]](/news/gears-of-war-eday-sales-report), proving that tier-1 event announcements directly mobilize player bases across genres.
