Boruto: 3 New Hokage After Naruto Uzumaki [Confirmed]

According to verified reports from Game Rant, the Boruto storyline has officially established three new Hokage figures following the disappearance of Seventh Hokage Naruto Uzumaki, confirming Shikamaru Nara as the interim Eighth Hokage while establishing Konohamaru Sarutobi and Sarada Uchiha as the village's next designated leaders. The dramatic shift in the Hidden Leaf Village power structure emerged in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex following Kawaki sealing Naruto and Hinata in the Daikokuten dimension. With Naruto legally presumed deceased by village council officials, Shikamaru assumed the ceremonial cloak and administrative authority of the Eighth Hokage, despite refusing the formal stone carving out of loyalty. Behind Shikamaru, Konohamaru Sarutobi has stepped into the active frontline leadership role as the de facto Ninth Hokage candidate, mirroring the lineage of his grandfather Hiruzen Sarutobi. Meanwhile, Sarada Uchiha represents the long-term future as the prospective Tenth Hokage, driven by her early awakening of the Mangekyo Sharingan and ideological defiance against Eida's Omnipotence spell. Much like unexpected storytelling twists highlighted in our review of [Underrated 2026 Games Nobody Played: Hidden Gems [Update 2026]](/news/underrated-2026-games-nobody-played), this narrative rebalancing establishes a high-stakes foundation across upcoming manga arcs and digital fighting game adaptations.
