AYN Odin 3 Portal Downgrade: 45W Fast Charging [Confirmed]

AYN Technologies has officially downgraded the charging speed of its flagship Odin 3 Portal handheld gaming device from 60W to 45W ahead of customer shipments, citing an earlier advertising mistake on its official Discord community announcement. According to verified reports from Android Authority, the hardware manufacturer initially promised rapid 60W power delivery to complement the device's colossal 9,000mAh battery cell. However, AYN confirmed the handheld will cap power input at 45W, falling below the performance of earlier flagship designs. The Odin 3 Portal remains a formidable Android-based powerhouse, driven by Qualcomm's high-tier Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, an active internal cooling fan, and a vibrant 7-inch OLED panel engineered for intensive cloud streaming and high-fidelity mobile gaming. While hardware enthusiasts expressed surprise over the sudden pre-launch specification adjustment, representatives clarified that the revision ensures internal safety and long-term thermal equilibrium across prolonged play sessions. Handheld gaming communities are closely tracking this hardware change, especially as comparative portable ecosystems adapt to new silicon demands, mirroring technical shifts seen in stories like the [CS2 & Steam Update: Anthropic Blocks AI Game Clones [Confirmed]](/news/anthropic-blocks-ai-game-clones-claude-update). Despite the lower charging wattage, the massive battery capacity guarantees exceptional endurance for offline emulation and prolonged battle royale matches without immediate thermal throttling.
