Match Report & Event Overview
According to verified reports from MP1st, Ubisoft has officially released Assassin's Creed Valhalla update 1.080 on November 5, delivering the highly requested New Game+ feature alongside comprehensive version 1.8.0 balancing changes for all gaming platforms. The deployment brings substantial patch sizes varying by hardware, requiring 12.27 GB on Ubisoft Connect, 7.8 GB on Steam, 15.02 GB on Xbox Series X|S, 5.26 GB on PlayStation 5, and 13.42 GB on PlayStation 4. Players diving back into the Viking epic can now experience the entire campaign carrying over their gear, abilities, and progression milestones. This milestone patch arrives alongside other platform updates, drawing parallels to recent major optimizations seen in titles like [ARC Raiders Hotfix 1.000.068: Seed Vault Fix [Patch Notes]](/news/arc-raiders-hotfix-1-000-068-patch-notes), highlighting developers' ongoing commitment to endgame stability. The update directly addresses community feedback accumulated over years of live-service support, giving veteran players a compelling reason to revisit Ravensthorpe. Ubisoft’s decision to deliver this substantial content upgrade for free ensures active player retention remains remarkably high across PC and console ecosystems alike, solidifying Valhalla’s long-term legacy within the modern action-RPG genre.
Competitive & Meta Breakdown
Mastering New Game+ requires an acute tactical overhaul of Eivor’s loadouts, weapon synergies, and stealth execution strategies. Returning to Norway with fully unlocked skill trees shifts the combat meta away from survival grinding toward high-tier DPS optimization and legendary weapon mastery. Players must carefully balance heavy dual-wield melee builds with ranged predator abilities to counter scaled enemy difficulty tiers across higher difficulties. Furthermore, optimizing weapon rune allocations and gear set bonuses becomes paramount when facing intensified boss encounters and revised threat scaling. The introduction of New Game+ revitalizes tactical engagement, forcing hardcore completionists to rethink route planning, monastery raids, and river excursion strategies. By retaining legendary armor sets like the Fallen Hero and St. George gear from initial playthroughs, tacticians can experiment with hyper-aggressive playstyles right from the prologue. This meta shift encourages deeper community experimentation, driving players to share optimal leveling blueprints and boss-slaying rotations across social channels.
Community & Commercial Impact
The arrival of version 1.8.0 directly impacts the secondary gaming marketplace, driving increased user interest in fully leveled endgame accounts, rare cosmetic gear sets, and fully upgraded settlement builds. As veteran players return to explore New Game+, demand surges for pre-configured high-rank profiles featuring maximum-tier weapons and exclusive Ubisoft Connect rewards. Within the digital asset ecosystem, account liquidity remains exceptionally robust for collectors seeking fully optimized characters without grinding hundreds of hours. However, engaging in peer-to-peer transactions requires rigorous security protocols to protect against fraudulent chargebacks or compromised credentials. 217G provides the definitive gold standard for secure trading, offering comprehensive verified escrow protection, multi-factor authentication guarantees, and trusted middleman services for high-value gaming assets ranging from PKR 20,000 to 100,000 and AED 300 to 1,500. Leveraging 217G's secure marketplace ensures buyers and sellers can exchange rare digital accounts and premium cosmetics with total peace of mind, backed by industry-leading buyer protection standards.
Strategic Outlook
Following the launch of update 1.080, Ubisoft continues supporting its franchise roadmap into 2026 with ongoing franchise expansions and community initiatives. Players anticipating future live-service content drops and next-gen hardware patches should monitor official Ubisoft developer broadcasts scheduled throughout Q1 and Q2 2026.
