GOG Free Game: A New Beginning Final Cut Claim [Confirmed]

Daedalic Entertainment's critically acclaimed eco-thriller A New Beginning: Final Cut is officially free to claim and keep forever on GOG starting today, giving PC gamers immediate access to the DRM-free point-and-click adventure without spending a dime. According to verified reports from PC Gamer, the surprise promotion allows users to claim the full title directly to their permanent library without requiring any client launcher. Released originally in 2011 before receiving its definitive Final Cut upgrade, the narrative tracks bio-engineer Bent Svensson and time-traveler Fay as they race to prevent an impending global climate cataclysm using clean algae fuel. While GOG recently celebrated promotional storefront sales, this specific giveaway arrives as a standalone DRM-free gift for adventure enthusiasts. Much like deep single-player narratives highlighted in our [Phantom Blade Zero True Ending Guide: Final Boss [Full Guide]](/news/phantom-blade-zero-true-ending-guide), A New Beginning emphasizes strategic problem-solving over twitch reflexes. Players navigating the hand-drawn backgrounds must resolve environmental crises, manage complex inventory combinations, and explore branching conversation trees across more than twenty hours of animated storytelling. The free promotion requires only a standard GOG account, after which the game remains unlocked indefinitely across Windows and macOS platforms.
